संजय उवाच उलूकस्त्वर्जुनं भूयो यथोक्तं वाक्यमब्रवीत् आशीविषमिव क्रुद्धं तुदन्वाक्यशलाकया

Sañjaya said: "Ulūka then again spoke many words to Arjuna, as he had been asked to do. He angered him with the stakes of his words, like a virulent serpent.

संजय ने कहा: "उलूक ने फिर अर्जुन से बहुत सारे शब्द कहे, जैसा कि उसे करने के लिए कहा गया था। उसने एक जहरीले सांप की तरह, अपने शब्दों के डंक से उसे क्रोधित कर दिया।

On hearing his words, the Pāṇḍava-s were extremely enraged. They were already angry and the son of the gambler incited them even more.

उनकी बातें सुनकर पांडव अत्यंत क्रोधित हुए। वे पहले से ही क्रोधित थे और जुआरी के बेटे ने उन्हें और भी भड़का दिया।

नासनेष्ववतिष्ठन्त बाहूंश्चैव विचिक्षिपुः आशीविषा इव क्रुद्धा वीक्षां चक्रुः परस्परम्

They arose from their seats and flailed their arms around. They were wrathful like virulent serpents and glanced towards each other.

वे अपनी सीटों से उठे और अपनी भुजाएँ चारों ओर फैला दीं। वे विषैले सांपों की तरह क्रोधित थे और एक-दूसरे की ओर देख रहे थे।

अवाक्शिरा भीमसेनः समुदैक्षत केशवम् नेत्राभ्यां लोहितान्ताभ्यामाशीविष इव श्वसन्

With a drooping head, Bhīmasena glanced towards Keśava. His eyes were red at the corners. He sighed like a serpent.

भीमसेन ने सिर झुकाये हुए केशव की ओर देखा। उसकी आँखें कोने पर लाल थीं। उसने साँप की तरह आह भरी।

आर्तं वातात्मजं दृष्ट्वा क्रोधेनाभिहतं भृशम् उत्स्मयन्निव दाशार्हः कैतव्यं प्रत्यभाषत

On seeing that the son of the wind was distressed and extremely enraged, Dāśārha smiled and replied to the son of the gambler.

यह देखकर कि पवनपुत्र व्यथित और अत्यधिक क्रोधित है, दाशार्ह मुस्कुराए और जुआरी के पुत्र को उत्तर दिया।

प्रयाहि शीघ्रं कैतव्य ब्रूयाश्चैव सुयोधनम् श्रुतं वाक्यं गृहीतोऽर्थो मतं यत्ते तथास्तु तत्

"O son of a gambler! Leave swiftly and tell Suyodhana that his words have been heard. Their intent has been understood. It shall be the way he has said.

"हे जुआरी पुत्र! जल्दी से चले जाओ और सुयोधन से कहो कि उसकी बातें सुन ली गई हैं। उनका इरादा समझ लिया गया है। उसने जैसा कहा है वैसा ही होगा।"

मद्वचश्चापि भूयस्ते वक्तव्यः स सुयोधनः श्व इदानीं प्रदृश्येथाः पुरुषो भव दुर्मते

But also tell Suyodhana these words from me. "O evil-minded one! Wait for tomorrow. Be a man.

परंतु सुयोधन से ये वचन भी मुझसे कहो। "हे दुष्टबुद्धि! कल की प्रतीक्षा करो। मनुष्य बनो।"

मन्यसे यच्च मूढ त्वं न योत्स्यति जनार्दनः सारथ्येन वृतः पार्थैरिति त्वं न बिभेषि च

O foolish one! You think that Janārdana will not fight and Pārtha has chosen him as a charioteer. Therefore, you need not be frightened.

अरे मूर्ख! आप सोचते हैं कि जनार्दन युद्ध नहीं करेंगे और पार्थ ने उन्हें सारथी के रूप में चुना है। इसलिए आपको डरने की जरूरत नहीं है.

जघन्यकालमप्येतद्भवेद्यत्सर्वपार्थिवान् निर्दहेयमहं क्रोधात्तृणानीव हुताशनः

But there will be a terrible time when I will burn down all the kings in my rage, like a flame consumes straw.

परन्तु एक भयानक समय आएगा जब मैं अपने क्रोध में सभी राजाओं को जला डालूँगा, जैसे आग भूसे को जला देती है।

युधिष्ठिरनियोगात्तु फल्गुनस्य महात्मनः करिष्ये युध्यमानस्य सारथ्यं विदितात्मनः

However, because of Yudhiṣṭhira's instructions, I will be the charioteer of the great-souled Phālguna. He himself knows the way to fight.

Even if you run away to the three worlds, even if you enter the ground, you will see Arjuna's chariot in front of you tomorrow.

चाहे तुम तीनों लोकों में भाग जाओ, चाहे तुम मैदान में भी घुस जाओ, कल तुम अर्जुन के रथ को अपने सामने देखोगे।

यच्चापि भीमसेनस्य मन्यसे मोघगर्जितम् दुःशासनस्य रुधिरं पीतमित्यवधार्यताम्

If you think that Bhīmasena's roar amounts to nothing, you can be certain that Duḥśāsana's blood will be drunk.

यदि आप सोचते हैं कि भीमसेन की दहाड़ का कोई मतलब नहीं है, तो आप निश्चित हो सकते हैं कि दु:शासन का खून पी लिया जाएगा।

न त्वां समीक्षते पार्थो नापि राजा युधिष्ठिरः न भीमसेनो न यमौ प्रतिकूलप्रभाषिणम्

Pārtha, or King Yudhiṣṭhira, or Bhīmasena, or the twins, do not pay the slightest attention to your contrary ramblings.""

पार्थ, या राजा युधिष्ठिर, या भीमसेन, या जुड़वाँ बच्चे, अपनी विपरीत बातों पर जरा भी ध्यान न दें।"
