जनमेजय उवाच उत्तङ्काय वरं दत्त्वा गोविन्दो द्विजसत्तम अत ऊर्ध्वं महाबाहुः किं चकार महायशाः

Janamejaya said: After granting the boon to Uttanka, Govinda, the best of Brahmanas, What did the mighty-armed and greatly famous one do thereafter?

जनमेजय ने कहा: ब्राह्मणों में सर्वश्रेष्ठ, उत्तंक को वरदान देने के बाद, शक्तिशाली-बाहु और महान प्रसिद्ध गोविंद ने उसके बाद क्या किया?

वैशंपायन उवाच दत्त्वा वरमुत्तङ्काय प्रायात्सात्यकिना सह द्वारकामेव गोविन्दः शीघ्रवेगैर्महाहयैः

Vaishmapayana said Having granted a boon to Uttanka, Govinda, along with Satyaki, went to Dvaraka on horses with great speed.

वैश्मापायन ने कहा, उत्तंक को वरदान देकर गोविंद सात्यकि के साथ बड़े वेग से घोड़ों पर सवार होकर द्वारका की ओर चले गये।

सरांसि च नदीश्चैव वनानि विविधानि च अतिक्रम्य ससादाथ रम्यां द्वारवतीं पुरीम्

झीलों, नदियों और विभिन्न जंगलों को पार करते हुए, वह सुंदर द्वारका शहर में पहुँचे।

वर्तमाने महाराज महे रैवतकस्य च उपायात्पुण्डरीकाक्षो युयुधानानुगस्तदा

हे पुरुषश्रेष्ठ, पर्वत विभिन्न रूपों और रंगों से सुशोभित था और चारों ओर स्वर्ण आभूषणों से चमक रहा था।

काञ्चनस्रग्भिरग्र्याभिः सुमनोभिस्तथैव च वासोभिश्च महाशैलः कल्पवृक्षैश्च सर्वशः

उत्तम स्वर्ण मालाओं, पुष्पों तथा वस्त्रों से युक्त वह महान पर्वत मनोकामना पूर्ण करने वाले वृक्षों से पूर्णतया सुशोभित है।

दीपवृक्षैश्च सौवर्णैरभीक्ष्णमुपशोभितः गुहानिर्झरदेशेषु दिवाभूतो बभूव ह

Adorned with golden trees and lamps, In the hidden waterfalls, he became like the sun.

सुनहरे वृक्षों और दीपों से सुशोभित, छुपे हुए झरनों में वह सूर्य के समान हो गया।

पताकाभिर्विचित्राभिः सघण्टाभिः समन्ततः पुंभिः स्त्रीभिश्च संघुष्टः प्रगीत इव चाभवत् अतीव प्रेक्षणीयोऽभून्मेरुर्मुनिगणैरिव

Having worshipped them, the wise one, having asked about their well-being, joyfully greeted his father and mother.

उनकी पूजा करके बुद्धिमान ने उनका कुशल पूछा और हर्षपूर्वक अपने पिता तथा माता को नमस्कार किया।

ताभ्यां च संपरिष्वक्तः सान्त्वितश्च महाभुजः उपोपविष्टस्तैः सर्वैर्वृष्णिभिः परिवारितः

स विश्रान्तो महातेजाः कृतपादावसेचनः कथयामास तं कृष्णः पृष्टः पित्रा महाहवम्
