सुग्रीवेण एवम् उक्तः तु हृष्टो दधि मुखः कपिः | राघवम् लक्ष्मणम् चैव सुग्रीवम् च अभ्यवादयत् || ५-६४-१

Hearing the words of Sugreeva, Dadhimukha the monkey was pleased and offered his salutation with reverence to Rama, Lakshmana

सुग्रीव की बात सुनकर प्रसन्न हुए दधिमुख नामक वानर ने राम, लक्ष्मण और सुग्रीव को प्रणाम किया।

स प्रणम्य च सुग्रीवम् राघवौ च महाबलौ | वानरैः सहितैः शूरैः दिवम् एव उत्पपात ह || ५-६४-२

After offering salutation to Sugreeva and to the mighty Rama and Lakshmana, that Dadhimukha accompanied by his valiant monkeys, sprang into the air.

श्रीराम और सुग्रीव को प्रणाम करके, वह वीर हनुमान शूरवीर वानरों के साथ आकाश में उड़ गए।

स प्रविष्टो मधु वनम् ददर्श हरि यूथपान् | विमदान् उद्धतान् सर्वान् मेहमानान् मधु उदकम् || ५-६४-३

That Dadhimukha, after entering Madhuvana, saw all the chiefs of monkeys, who were free from their intoxication, having passed off the honey and who were inwardly excited.

वह मधुवन में प्रवेश कर गया और उसने वहाँ मदमस्त, उद्धत और मधु जल पीते हुए वानरों के झुंड देखे।

स तान् उपागमत् वीरो बद्ध्वा कर पुट अञ्जलिम् | उवाच वचनम् श्लक्ष्णम् इदम् हृष्टवत् अन्गदम् || ५-६४-४

With his hands joined together for salutation, that valiant Dadhimukha approached them and cheerfully spoke the following gentle words to Angada.

वह वीर अंगद प्रसन्न होकर, हाथ जोड़कर, उन तक पहुँचा और उसने कोमल वचन कहे।

सौम्य रोषो न कर्तव्यो यत् एभिः अभिवारितः | अज्ञानात् रक्षिभिः क्रोधात् भवन्तः प्रतिषेधिताः || ५-६४-५

"O gentle sir! Due to their ignorance, these guards in anger obstructed you to enter the grove. No resentment should be harboured by you about this obstruction."

यह श्लोक कहता है कि रक्षकों ने अज्ञानवश और क्रोध में आकर आपको रोका है, इसलिए उन पर सौम्य रोष भी नहीं करना चाहिए।

युव राजः त्वम् ईशः च वनस्य अस्य महाबल | मौर्ख्यात् पूर्वम् कृतो दोषः तत् भवान् क्षन्तुम् अर्हति || ५-६४-६

"O exceedingly strong Angada! You are the prince and also the master of this grove. We have done a mistake

हे महाबली युवराज और इस वन के स्वामी, अज्ञानतावश मुझसे जो पूर्व में भूल हुई है, उसे क्षमा करने योग्य आप ही हैं।

आख्यातम् हि मया गत्वा पितृव्यस्य तव अनघ | इह उपयानम् सर्वेषाम् एतेषाम् वन चारिणाम् || ५-६४-७

"O faultless Angada! After going there, I indeed informed your uncle about the arrival of all these monkeys here."

हे निष्पाप! मैंने जाकर तुम्हारे चाचा को बता दिया है कि इन सभी वनवासियों को यहाँ आना है।

स त्वत् आगमनम् श्रुत्वा सह एभिः हरि यूथपैः | प्रहृष्टो न तु रुष्टो असौ वनम् श्रुत्वा प्रधर्षितम् || ५-६४-८

"Hearing your arrival along with these leaders of monkeys, your uncle was exceedingly pleased. Even after hearing of Madhuvana having been attacked, he did not develop any anger."

वह तुम्हारे आगमन की बात सुनकर, इन हरि यूथपतियों के साथ, प्रसन्न हुआ, न कि रुष्ट। उसने वन को भयभीत सुना था।

प्रहृष्टो माम् पितृव्यः ते सुग्रीवो वानर ईश्वरः | शीघ्रम् प्रेषय सर्वान् तान् इति ह उवाच पार्थिवः || ५-६४-९

"Sugreeva, your uncle, the lord of monkeys and the king was pleased and told me, 'send all the monkeys here'."

आपके द्वारा दिए गए संस्कृत श्लोक का सरल हिंदी अनुवाद इस प्रकार है: तुम्हारे चाचा सुग्रीव, जो वानरों के राजा हैं, बहुत प्रसन्न हुए। उन्होंने राजा से कहा कि वे सभी को शीघ्र भेज दें।

श्रुत्वा दधि मुखस्य एतत् वचनम् श्लक्ष्णम् अन्गदः | अब्रवीत् तान् हरि श्रेष्ठो वाक्यम् वाक्य विशारदः || ५-६४-१०

Hearing these smooth words of Dadhimukha, the eloquent Angada, the foremost among the monkeys, spoke to those monkeys as follows:

अंगद ने दधिमुख के ये कोमल वचन सुनकर, वाक्पटु श्रेष्ठ वानर अंगद ने उनसे यह कहा।

शन्के श्रुतो अयम् वृत्त अन्तो रामेण हरि यूथपाः | तत् क्षमम् न इह नः स्थातुम् कृते कार्ये परम् तपाः || ५-६४-११

"O the foremost of monkeys, the tormentators of enemies! I assume that Rama might have heard the news (of our arrival). Hence, it is not proper for us to remain here any longer, now that our work has been accomplished."

यहाँ श्लोक का सरल हिंदी अनुवाद दिया गया है: हनुमान जी ने सोचा कि राम ने वानरों के समूह को यह समाचार सुनाया है। इस कार्य को पूरा करने के बाद यहाँ रुकना हमारे लिए उचित नहीं है, क्योंकि यह एक महान तपस्या के समान है।

पीत्वा मधु यथा कामम् विश्रान्ता वन चारिणः | किम् शेषम् गमनम् तत्र सुग्रीवो यत्र मे गुरुः || ५-६४-१२

"The monkeys are taking, rest, after drinking the honey to their heart's content. What is there remaining, except to go to the place where Sugreeva my uncle is there?"

यहाँ संस्कृत श्लोक का सरल हिंदी अनुवाद दिया गया है: जैसे वन में घूमने वाले जीव मधु पीकर तृप्त हो जाते हैं, उसी प्रकार जहाँ मेरे गुरु सुग्रीव हैं, वहाँ आगे जाने के लिए और क्या शेष रह गया है।

"I shall do whatever all the leaders of monkeys together tell me. I am obedient to you, in the matter of what ought to be done."

सभी हरि गणों के प्रमुख जब मुझसे मिलेंगे, तो वे मुझे जो भी कहेंगे, मैं वही करूँगा। मैं आपके अधीन हूँ।

न आज्ञापयितुम् ईशो अहम् युव राजो अस्मि यदि अपि | अयुक्तम् कृत कर्माणो यूयम् धर्षयितुम् मया || ५-६४-१४

"I am not the master to command you, eventhough I am the crown prince. It is not befitting for me to play the lord over you, who have accomplished the task."

मैं युवराज हूँ, इसलिए आदेश देने में सक्षम नहीं हूँ। फिर भी, तुमने जो अनुचित कार्य किया है, उसके लिए तुम्हें मुझसे दंडित किया जाएगा।

ब्रुवतः च अन्गदः च एवम् श्रुत्वा वचनम् अव्ययम् | प्रहृष्ट मनसो वाक्यम् इदम् ऊचुः वन ओकसः || ५-६४-१५

Hearing the indeclinable words spoken thus by Angada, the monkeys with their pleased minds, spoke to him (as follows:

अंगद के ये अव्यय वचन सुनकर, वन में रहने वाले वानर बहुत प्रसन्न हुए और उन्होंने यह बात कही।

एवम् वक्ष्यति को राजन् प्रभुः सन् वानर ऋषभ | ऐश्वर्य मद मत्तो हि सर्वो अहम् इति मन्यते || ५-६४-१६

"O prince, the foremost of monkeys! Who would speak like this, while he is the lord? Every one indeed thinks one's supremacy with an excited arrogance and says 'I, I'."

हे राजन, ऐश्वर्य के मद में चूर वानर श्रेष्ठ प्रभु ऐसा ही कहेंगे, क्योंकि वे स्वयं को सर्वशक्तिमान मानते हैं।

तव च इदम् सुसदृशम् वाक्यम् न अन्यस्य कस्यचित् | सम्नतिः हि तव आख्याति भविष्यत् शुभ भाग्यताम् || ५-६४-१७

"It is so worthy of you alone that you have spoken such words. None else can utter like this. Your humility itself is telling of your future suitableness for prosperity."

यह वाक्य तुम्हारे लिए बहुत उपयुक्त है, किसी और के लिए नहीं। यह तुम्हारी उन्नति और भविष्य की शुभ भाग्य का संकेत देता है।

सर्वे वयम् अपि प्राप्ताः तत्र गन्तुम् कृत क्षणाः | स यत्र हरि वीराणाम् सुग्रीवः पतिः अव्ययः || ५-६४-१८

"All of us, who reached here, are waiting for the right moment to go to that place where Sugreeva, the imperishable king of the heroic monkeys, is."

हम सब भी वहाँ जाने के लिए तैयार हो गए हैं, जहाँ अव्यय (अविनाशी) हरि के वीर सुग्रीव राजा हैं।

त्वया हि अनुक्तैः हरिभिः न एव शक्यम् पदात् पदम् | क्वचित् गन्तुम् हरि श्रेष्ठ ब्रूमः सत्यम् इदम् तु ते || ५-६४-१९

"O the excellent of monkeys! Without your command, it is not possible for the monkeys anywhere, even a step forward. We are speaking this truth to you."

तुम्हारे द्वारा, हे हरि श्रेष्ठ, न कहे जाने पर, हरि (अर्थात इंद्रियों) के बिना एक कदम भी चलना संभव नहीं है। हम तुम्हें सच-सच कहते हैं।

एवम् तु वदताम् तेषाम् अन्गदः प्रत्यभाषत | बाढम् गच्छाम इति उक्त्वा उत्पपात मही तलात् || ५-६४-२०

While they were thus speaking; Angada replied, "Let us go." The mighty monkeys then sprang into the air.

जब वे इस प्रकार कह रहे थे, तब अंगद ने उत्तर दिया। "बहुत अच्छा, मैं जाता हूँ" ऐसा कहकर वह पृथ्वी से उड़ गया।

उत्पतन्तम् अनूत्पेतुः सर्वे ते हरि यूथपाः | कृत्वा आकाशम् निराकाशम् यज्ञ उत्क्षिप्ता इव अनलाः || ५-६४-२१

All those leaders of monkey-troops, like stones shot from a catapult, making the space space-less, followed Angada, who was springing forward.

सभी वानरराज उस उड़ते हुए हनुमान के पीछे उड़े। जैसे यज्ञ में उछाले गए अग्नि के कण आकाश को निराकाश कर देते हैं, वैसे ही वे हनुमान के साथ उड़ते हुए प्रतीत हुए।

ते अम्बरम् सहसा उत्पत्य वेगवन्तः प्लवम्गमाः | विनदन्तो महानादम् घना वात ईरिता यथा || ५-६४-२२

Those monkeys with speed, sounding forth a loud noise, sprang into the sky, like clouds driven by the wind.

वे अचानक उछलकर, हवा से उड़े हुए बादलों की तरह, ज़ोर-ज़ोर से गर्जना करते हुए, वेगवान वानर आकाश में उड़ गए।

अन्गदे हि अननुप्राप्ते सुग्रीवो वानर अधिपः | उवाच शोक उपहतम् रामम् कमल लोचनम् || ५-६४-२३

Even before Angada landed there, Sugreeva, the king of monkeys spoke to the louts-eyed Rama, who was afflicted with grief (as follows):

सुग्रीव, वानरों के राजा, ने कमल जैसे नेत्र वाले, शोक से व्याकुल राम से कहा।

समाश्वसिहि भद्रम् ते दृष्टा देवी न संशयः | न आगन्तुम् इह शक्यम् तैः अतीते समये हि नः || ५-६४-२४

"Be pacified! Happiness to you! The princess has been seen. There is not doubt. When the time earlier fixed by us exceeds beyond limit, it is not possible for them to come here."

हे कल्याणकारी, तुम आश्वस्त रहो, देवी को देखा गया है, इसमें कोई संदेह नहीं है। क्योंकि हमारे अतीत के समय में, उनका यहाँ आना संभव नहीं था।

न मत् सकाशम् आगच्छेत् कृत्ये हि विनिपातिते | युव राजो महाबाहुः प्लवताम् प्रवरो अन्गदः || ५-६४-२५

"Angada, the long-armed prince and the most excellent of monkeys does not make his appearance before my vicinity, if the work is ruined."

जब कोई कार्य पूरा हो जाए, तो युवराज अंगद को मेरे पास नहीं आना चाहिए। वह बहुत शक्तिशाली और श्रेष्ठ वानर हैं।

यदि अपि अकृत कृत्यानाम् ईदृशः स्यात् उपक्रमः | भवेत् तु दीन वदनो भ्रान्त विप्लुत मानसः || ५-६४-२६

"Even if such an exploit may be possible by these monkeys who have not been able to accomplish their work, Angada would have worn a sad face and felt perplexed and scattered in mind."

यदि कार्य पूरा न करने वाले भी ऐसा ही प्रयास करें, तो वे भी दुखी और भ्रमित हो जाएँगे।

पितृ पैतामहम् च एतत् पूर्वकैः अभिरक्षितम् | न मे मधु वनम् हन्यात् अहृष्टः प्लवग ईश्वरः || ५-६४-२७ कौसल्या सुप्रजा राम समाश्वसिहि सुव्रत |

"If Angada the lord f the monkeys is not rejoiced, he would not have damaged my madhuvana, which belongs to my father and grandfather as well as protected by my forbears. Get consoled well, O virtuous Rama, the splendid son of Kausalya!"

यह पितरों और पूर्वजों द्वारा संरक्षित मेरा मधुवन है। यदि प्रसन्न न हो तो वानरराज इसे नष्ट न करे। हे सुपुत्र कौशल्या के राम, हे सुव्रत, आप आश्वस्त रहें।

दृष्टा देवी न संदेहो न च अन्येन हनूमता || ५-६४-२८ न हि अन्यः कर्मणः हेतुः साधने तत् विधो भवेत् |

"Seetha was seen. There is no doubt. None other than Hanuma must have seen Seetha. There is indeed none other than Hanuma, who is the executor."

यहाँ संस्कृत श्लोक का सरल हिंदी अनुवाद दिया गया है: देवी को देखा गया है, इसमें कोई संदेह नहीं है, और न ही किसी अन्य हनुमान द्वारा। क्योंकि इस प्रकार के कार्य के लिए कोई दूसरा साधन या कारण नहीं हो सकता।

हनूमति हि सिद्धिः च मतिः च मति सत्तम || ५-६४-२९ व्यवसायः च वीर्यम् च सूर्ये तेज इव ध्रुवम् |

"O Rama, having a very good understanding! In Hanuma, qualities like capacity to accomplish any object, intelligence, strenuous effort and vigour are unchangeable, like a splendour in the sun."

हनुमान जी में निश्चित रूप से सिद्धियाँ, बुद्धि और उत्तम मति है। सूर्य में तेज की तरह उनमें व्यवसाय और बल भी निश्चित रूप से हैं।

जाम्बवान् यत्र नेता स्यात् अन्गदः च बल ईश्वरः || ५-६४-३० हनूमान् च अपि अधिष्ठाता न तस्य गतिः अन्यथा |

"Where Jambavan is a leader; Angada as the commander of troops and moreover Hanuma as the administer, the progress of that work cannot be as otherwise."

जाम्बवान् जहाँ नेता हों, अंगद बल के स्वामी हों, और हनुमान अधिष्ठाता हों, वहाँ उनकी गति (विजय) अन्यथा (विपरीत) नहीं हो सकती।

मा भूः चिन्ता समायुक्तः सम्प्रति अमित विक्रम || ५-६४-३१ ततः किल किला शब्दम् शुश्राव आसन्नम् अम्बरे | हनूमत् कर्म दृप्तानाम् नर्दताम् कानन ओकसाम् || ५-६४-३२ किष्किन्धाम् उपयातानाम् सिद्धिम् कथयताम् इव |

"O Rama, of unlimited prowess! Do not encounter troubled thoughts now!" Meanwhile, when the monkeys, who are proud of Hanuma's performance and who are making noise as though they are proclaiming about the accomplishment of their act are approaching Kishkindha Sugreeva heard certain sounds expressing joy, in the vicinity of the sky."

चिंता मत करो, हे अमित विक्रम! तभी उसने आकाश में पास से किल-किल ध्वनि सुनी। यह किष्किंधा को आए हुए, विजय का उद्घोष करते हुए, वानरों के गर्जन की ध्वनि थी।

ततः श्रुत्वा निनादम् तम् कपीनाम् कपि सत्तमः || ५-६४-३३ आयत अन्चित लान्गूलः सो अभवद्त् हृष्ट मानसः |

Then, hearing that clamour of the monkeys, Sugreeva the chief of the monkeys became rejoiced at heart, duly stretching and curling up his tail (in joy).

वानरों की वह गर्जना सुनकर, लंबी पूंछ वाला वह श्रेष्ठ वानर अत्यंत प्रसन्न हो गया।

आजग्मुः ते अपि हरयो राम दर्शन कान्क्षिणः || ५-६४-३४ अन्गदम् पुरतः कृत्वा हनूमन्तम् च वानरम् |

Keeping Angada and Hanuma in front of them, those monkeys too arrived with their eagerness to see Rama.

वे वानर भी, अंगद और हनुमान को आगे करके, श्री राम के दर्शन की इच्छा से वहाँ आ पहुँचे।

ते अन्गद प्रमुखा वीराः प्रहृष्टाः च मुदा अन्विताः || ५-६४-३५ निपेतुः हरि राजस्य समीपे राघवस्य च |

Those heroes, having Angada as their chief, exceedingly pleased as they were and filled with joy, landed at the vicinity of Sugreeva and Rama.

हनुमान के नेतृत्व में वीर योद्धा, प्रसन्न और आनंदित होकर, राजा सुग्रीव और श्री राम के पास आ गिरे।

हनूमान् च महाबहुः प्रणम्य शिरसा ततः || ५-६४-३६ नियताम् अक्षताम् देवीम् राघवाय न्यवेदयत् |

Thereafter, the mighty armed Hanuma, offering his salutation in bending his head low, informed Rama that Seetha the princess is constant in devotion to Rama and sound in body.

हनुमान् ने, जो महाबली थे, अपना सिर झुकाकर, फिर उस देवी को, जो अक्षत (अखंडित) थीं, श्री राम के पास ले जाकर निवेदन किया।

दृष्टा देवीति हनुमद्वदनादमृतोपमम् || ५-६४-३७ आकर्ण्य वचनम् रामो हर्षमाप सलक्ष्मणः |

Hearing the nectar-like words, saying "Seetha was found" from the mouth of Hanuma, Rama and Lakshmana felt happy.

हनुमान के मुख से अमृत के समान वचन सुनकर, राम और लक्ष्मण अत्यंत प्रसन्न हुए।

निश्चित अर्थम् ततः तस्मिन् सुग्रीवम् पवन आत्मजे || ५-६४-३८ लक्ष्मणः प्रीतिमान् प्रीतम् बहु मानात् अवैक्षत |

Thereupon, Lakshmana with love looked with reverence on the joyful Sugreeva, who earlier decidedly apprised about the aforesaid Hanuma, having accomplished the task.

हनुमान जी ने सुग्रीव को निश्चित अर्थ बताकर, लक्ष्मण जी ने उन्हें बहुत सम्मान के साथ देखा।

प्रीत्या च रममाणो अथ राघवः पर वीरहा || ५-६४-३९ बहु मानेन महता हनूमन्तम् अवैक्षत |

Rama, the annihilator of hostile heroes, who obtained a great joy, looked on Hanuma with a high esteem.

श्रीरामचन्द्रजी, जो शत्रुओं का संहार करने वाले हैं, अत्यंत प्रेम और आदर के साथ हनुमानजी को देखने लगे।
